Babysitting for Date Night

Saturday night was our turn to babysit for date night. For those of you that don't know about date night there are four couples that switch off babysitting. We have it 2 times a month. So every two months we babysit all the kids while the other couples go and do what ever and then we are able to go out on dates the other 3 times. It is so nice to be able to go out on dates. Plus the kids love being together. There are usually 7 kids but we were missing 2 last night. The kids had so much fun playing together, I love watching them play and listening to the things that they come up with.

Jackson, Emma, and Margie on the "wobbly" swing.
Aiden and Jacob taking their turn.
Aiden and Jacob played really good together. They are going to best buds soon!
All the kids at the sand box. They stood here for about 30 minutes playing candy factory. Who knows where they got that from!

Just love the loud voice!

Today at church we kinda had a rough day. I had to take Emma out in the middle of sacrament kicking and screaming. I can't remember the last time I had to do that. It was totally embarrassing! Anyway, there was one funny thing that did happen. All of a sudden it started to stink pretty bad. So Spencer leans over to me and whispers it stinks is Aiden poopy? And before I could react. Emma says very loudly " Aiden is not poopy-I tooted!" We about died, it was so funny but a little embarrassing since I am sure that everyone close to us heard it. What a crazy Sunday!

The Kidos

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago and I kinda forgot about them. But since I am trying to think of anything I can do to not clean my bathroom :) I all of a sudden remembered that I hadn't posted them yet.
I was hoping to show you pictures of our fun play day we had today. But sadly I forgot my camera. I don't know what I was thinking! We had our play group at the downtown library. Emma loves to go there but we only go every once in a while because it ends up being an all morning adventure. So she was soooo excited to go today. The kids had fun doing puzzles and reading books. Then we all had lunch in the eating area. By then the kids were so ready to run around and be nosey so we headed over to the botanical gardens to walk/run around. By the time we headed back to our cars the kids were more then ready to go and so were the moms. But it was a way fun day.

Golf 101

Last weekend when Spencer was watching whatever golf tournament was on, he decided that he wanted to teach Emma how to golf. So we headed out to Galaxy Golf to look for clubs.
We found a really cute golf bag with 3 clubs in it that we had Emma try out. But we decided to just buy one club to make sure she liked golfing before we went all out. Well, you know how Emma is, she wanted to have the whole thing! We finally talked her into being ok with just one club (with a promise to get her more when she turned 4).
So, today we headed out to the park to practice golfing. She did pretty good. She hit the ball a couple of times but got easily frustrated. But really who doesn't when they are playing golf? So after a few minutes Aiden decided it was his turn and Emma was ok with that.

Emma took this last picture. That is why you can see part of her finger. But she loves taking pictures and she usually does a good job.

TuTu

I know I just posted about Emma's ballet class. But I was able to get her tutu finished for class today and I wanted to show it off. She is just so cute at dance class. She calls herself a ballerina princessa.
She has been practicing all week and I think that you could tell. A few things came a little easier for her this week. But she also had a lot more fun looking at the mirror today, too! Hopefully she will get use to the big mirrors and pay a little more attention to her teacher!
I know this is kind of a crazy picture. I was trying to get a picture of her sitting in front of the mirror. But we can't go in so I had to take a picture through the looking window-it is one that we can see in but they can't see out. Anyway, it is hard to get a picture to turn out. But I thought that this one looked pretty cool.

Our Ballerina

Emma had her first dance class today. She was so excited! She couldn't wait to go and get her leotard and shoes from her teacher. (We went in a couple of weeks ago to get her sized so that all her stuff would be there today.) I had made her a special dance bag to put her shoes in and told her that she was in charge of her bag and shoes. She was so proud of herself, she carried it in and put it right were she was suppose to. We have been having "dance classes" in my bathroom in front of our big mirror for the last couple of months. So she already knew some of the dance positions. Here she is doing her first position with a plie.I was very impressed with the teachers. They had the girls turning, and leaping, and kicking right from the get go. Emma caught on to almost everything very fast. And the teacher always used her as an example to go first. :) Emma loved, loved, loved and she can't wait to go back next week. I am sure we will be having more "dance" classes in my bathroom this week! They also do tap during the class but I wasn't able to get any pictures of that so I will try again later.
I felt bad cause she was the only one with out a skirt so I told her I would make her one for next time. That way she has something till the big fancy tutu gets here from grandma. Hopefully it turns out cute.

Going for a stroll...

So Aiden is starting to walk! Can you believe it? It took him soooo long to figure out the crawling thing and now he is already on to walking. Emma did the same thing so I guess it was to be expected. He loves to walk from me to Spencer. In fact he gets so excited that he pretty much runs back and forth. He is also starting to get more and more brave and venture from one piece of furniture to the other or to me. And the distances keep getting longer and longer. Soon he will be walking around the whole house.

Way to go Aiden!!
