New Bike and Rockin Out

I finally found a new bike for Emma! She is so excited. It is nice to see her ride a bike that actually fits her! Maybe now she will want to ride it a little more!
Here she is showing off her new Hannah Montana bike helmet.

The new wheels.

I haven't been able to find one for Aiden so we decided to paint Emma's old one. I am trying to use what I have so not to spend any money, so it is going to be an army bike. I am not done yet, hopefully in the next couple of days so he can ride it when Emma rides hers.

Sunday afternoon the kids wanted to listen to music. My Ishuffle wasn't working so they had to share Emma's. Sometimes they are just so cute together.

What a day!!

Wow! What a day! You would think we were on vacation or something. And for a while it felt like it! Spencer called at lunch to say he was almost done and that he wanted to do something fun to enjoyed the beautiful day. So I packed up the kids and we headed to the zoo where Spencer met us (Of course it was about an hour longer then he thought but I am not complaining!)
The kids wanted to head straight for the new kids zoo. And I have to say it was more fun this time then last. We first went and checked out the Lorikeets(?). They were awesome! Emma of course was nervous but Aiden loved every minute of it.

This one landed on our stroller. Aiden thought it was the coolest thing ever. We tried to get it to go on his hand but no such luck.

Then we headed over the water area. It was fun and the kids got pretty wet. It will be insane during the summer time. But for now, it wasn't too bad. Emma wants to go again when she can wear her swimsuit and get super wet.

We almost always end our zoo trip with the Oklahoma trails. It is some of our favorites. It has been open for a few years now and this is the first time I have seen the grizzles playing in the water. It looked so fun! I guess they were loving the hot day too!

After the zoo we went to Tinseltown to watch "How To Train Your Dragon." It was awesome. We all totally loved it! By the time that was done we were all starving, so we went to Texas Rhodehouse for dinner. And lucky for us it was family night. There was a clown who did animal balloons and face painting and then they get free ice cream and a huge array of topping to choose from.

Aiden wanted to be a monster...

Emma of course wanted to be beautiful...

What a day!! It was super fun and sooo nice to spend almost the entire day together as a family. Gotta love that!

Easter weekend

As you all know, holidays at my house are never just a one day event. They last the whole weekend-or week if I can get away with it. So here are a ton of pictures from our Easter weekend....Enjoy!
We started off with Emma's class Easter Egg hunt. Mrs Sorey took all the kids-including Aiden-down to the cafeteria for a snack while me an the other moms hid the eggs. It had down poured that morning so we had to do it inside. She had them all come and sit on the rug with their Easter bunny bags that they made, she told them how many eggs they could find(6-there just wasn't enough places to hide 12 eggs for 20 kids), and then had the count down...

3,2,1,

GO!!!
Most of the kids found their eggs right away but for some reason Emma was a straggler and was the last to find all her eggs-I think she was just being choosey on what eggs she picked up!

Then on Saturday was the huge 100,000 Easter Egg Hunt. Spencer took the kids and I had to meet them there after I taught dance. I thought for sure I would get there in time but they did things different this year so I missed it! But the kids had fun.

When I got there we were able to meet the Easter Bunny and then go and do a couple of the bouncy toys.

On our way out we stopped to drive the fire truck.

Then that afternoon (after mom and dad took a nap) we dyed Easter Eggs. Emma loves to dye eggs! This year I got some glitter stuff to put on so that was even cooler to have them all glittery.

(like Aiden's finger in his nose, that is a constant for him for some reason)

Then Easter morning came. The kids were so excited to see what was in their baskets. Sadly, they weren't as good as they usually are and Emma noticed! :) I was planning on getting them bikes off of Craigslist, it just never happened. Oh, well! I will keep on trying.

After we watched the morning conference we headed over to the Martin's for a big dinner and Easter Egg Hunt. The food was sooo yummy, I ate way to much, and then just kept on eating! We sent all the kids to back rooms and hide the eggs out side. There were eggs every where, and of course Emma was the last one to find all of hers!

Me, Laurie, Becca, and Nicole

Each kid could find 12 eggs, after each egg that Aiden found he would say "I have 12 eggs!"

All the kids:
Jakey, Aiden, Dimitri, Elane, Emma, Lilly, Kaylee, Stella, Margie, and Londynn

Happy Easter Everyone!!!
