Happy Halloween

We had the best Halloween ever this year! I have to say that our costumes totally rocked! I am so glad that my mom could fly out to be the Wicked Witch, it wouldn't have been the same with out her!

Thursday night we were able to finally go to the zoo (we had been trying since Monday!) and it was so much fun. When we first got there the line was so long! I almost wanted to say lets just go. But luckily I didn't and once we got in side it was well worth it.

This is us waiting in the forever huge line to get in. Don't we look awesome?!

I was really glad that Spencer was able to come and be the Scarecrow since he was going to have to work on Halloween.

Inside they had all different stations where you got candy and could take your picture. And do you know, there was a Wizard of Oz station. We were all so excited. It was the only place that stopped to take a picture. If you ask me, that made it all worth it right there!

I thought that it would scare Aiden to see grandma with her face green but it didn't even bother him one bit!

They had this awesome sign out front so of course we had to get a picture taken with it. Thanks Johnsons for coming with us!

Now on to the main event! It was finally time to go trick or treating in our neighborhood and Emma was so excited. We had lots of fun taking pictures outside and playing the Wizard of Oz before it was time to go. Aiden wasn't as excited about his costume tonight. I don't really blame him, I wouldn't want to wear that hat either! But doesn't he look so cute?!

Emma made the best Dorthy. Don't you love the Dorthy and Toto pumpkin?
Wicked Witch, Lion, and Dorthy

Pretending like the witch is going to get Dorthy. I love these pictures!

Here is Emma with our finished pumpkins.

We had such a great time. I can't wait to do it again next year! I am already making plans! :)

Carving Pumpkins

Wednesday night we had a great time carving pumpkins. Well, Spencer and I had a great time. Emma still thinks it is totally gross and Aiden didn't know what to think of it.
Spencer and Aiden's pumpkin is two bats flying in front of the moon and Emma's and mine is Dorthy and Toto. They turned out way cute. I will post a picture of them later.

Chester's Party Barn

On Wednesday afternoon we went to Chester's Party Barn and Pumpkin Patch and we had a blast! We had decided to go in the afternoon so that it would be a little warmer and I am glad that we waited cause we had the place pretty much to ourselves!

Emma remembered that last year she was able to sing so that is the first thing that she wanted to do with grandma. She loves singing in a mike and being on stage.

Next, the kids got to ride the mini ponies. They were so cute! Aiden was so excited! He had a great time. He wouldn't hold on so that made my mom a little nervous.

They then took us on a hayride to the corn maze/fort/slide. The kids thought the maze was pretty cool. Emma kept on asking if we were going the right way. Luckily there was no wrong way, every way led out!

Through out the farm they had lots of different sandboxes. This was a big hit with my kids since they love to play in the sand. The tire sandbox was my favorite.

There was this bridge you could cross over and Aiden crossed over and over and over.

Finding a good pumpkin was a little tricky this year. I guess that is what happens when you go at the very end of the season. Lots of the pumpkins were all gross and rotted and Emma was having a hard time finding one.

Grandma finally just picked one for her since she was having a hard time cause they were all either dirty or gross.

Aiden loved the pumpkins! He kept on saying ball and then picking them up and throwing them. What a funny kid!

The best part was the huge slide. Emma and grandma had a great time going down. They went down tons of times. Aiden for some reason didn't really like it. Which is weird cause he loves slides. I video taped Emma and grandma going down cause it was pretty funny! Plus I didn't know if Scott would believe her or not with out proof :)

Halloween

As most of you know we love Halloween at our house and we have been planning this Halloween for a long time. Emma has wanted to be Dorthy since like February. Needless to say I am glad that the big day is here so she can finally dress up as Dorthy. We have a few different Halloween activities planned this week. Here are the first two:

Our church had a trunk or treat where the kids played games and went "trunk" or treating in the parking lot. I was totally impressed that Aiden kept his hat on the whole time!

Emma and Londyn

Our second Halloween party was at our house for date night. The kids were so excited to be in their costumes that they got a little carried away in their playing!

We played games, had mummy hot dogs and eyeballs for dinner, painted pumpkins, and decorated cookies.

Thanks Wicked Witch for all the help :)

Welcome to Oklahoma!

On Friday my mom flew in from IF to spend the week with us. Emma was so excited! The flight was 20 minutes late and Emma was not happy about it! So we decided to take some pictures of us waiting "forever" as Emma put it.
When Grandma finally showed up we were all so excited! Even Aiden gave her a little smile! We are way excited for all the fun things we have planned to do. So stayed tuned :)

Orr Family Farm

Friday night we met up with our friend's the Olsen's and the Johnson's at the Orr Family Farm. We have never been although I have heard awesome things about. Well, it was as good as everyone says. They had a train that you could ride around the property, a carousel, petting zoo, bicycle go carts, play ground, hayride, and pumpkin patch. And we did it all in two hours!

The gang on the train.
Riding the carousel.
The kiddos-Emma, Sophie, Joby, and Aiden
The family- I love it when we get a cute family picture.
Riding the bicycle go carts. This was the funnest part for sure. Having to push the kids and getting them to steer was a work out. And then watching the dad's race the big carts was pretty funny.
After all the fun and games we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkin. It was a little tricky cause by then it was totally dark. But we ended up getting some good pumpkins. Aiden loved picking them up. To bad he then throw the pumpkin thinking it was a ball. He is all boy!

Tevin in Texas

Spencer's little brother Tevin returned home from his mission two weeks ago. So last week they made the long trek to visit us and Spencer's sister that lives in Texas. They spend Friday and Saturday with us in Oklahoma and then we all headed down for the baby blessing and the rest of our vacation. We had a ton of fun and did lots of things. Of course my camera was missing for part of it, so I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. But I did get some cute ones!
Emma loves her uncle Tevin. She was always needing to know where he was and making sure she was holding his hand as much as possible. It was cute!

One of our activities was to go and see Hyrum's gallery where his pottery was on display. He did a fabulous job and I can't wait to have him make things for my dream home. This is Emma. Abbygail, and Laney hanging out at the gallery.
One of the highlights of the trip was the Dallas World Aquarium. It was awesome. I totally recommend it. Just know, it is pretty pricey! Thanks Blair for footing the bill.
They have a really cool tunnel where the sharks swim all around you and we were able to be there during feeding time which was way cool. The Sting Ray behind the kids was one of the biggest in the tank.
At the DWA they have an awesome rain forest with the animals and fish that would live there. Aiden totally loved the monkeys. Actually, he loved anything that he could see from the stroller!
Some of the animals made Emma a little nervous but Aiden wanted to touch everything. Emma's favorite was the pink flamingos. She just kept on talking about how tall they were. And they were pretty tall. This is her with Caijsa. Emma is usually Caijsa's little shadow when we go to Texas.
All in all it was a great trip. Thanks Sautter's and Benson's for all the fun times! Can't wait to do it again!

Home Depot

This morning Spencer needed to go to Home Depot to get some things to fix our toilet, so I sent the kids with him. Well, after an hour and a half I was starting to wonder where they were. Apparently it was kids day at Home Depot. They had a firetruck and firemen there talking about fire safety. They gave the kids an awesome wooden firetruck that they made together. And since they were building something, they gave each kid their own tool apron and hammer. How fun is that?

The kids were so excited to show me what they got. Of course we had to take Aiden's hammer away first thing since he just started banging things when we let him hold it! Spencer and Emma worked really hard on putting her firetruck together. I thought it turned out great.
