Texas Pumpkin Patch

They say everything is bigger in Texas, it sure was true for the pumpkin patch we went to on Friday! It was so big that they had tons of wagons to haul your kids and or pumpkins around in. We chose to haul our kids! Aiden loved riding in it.

They had a whole bunch of different bouncies for the kids to go crazy on, and they did.

Aiden, trying to keep up with the big kids.

Then we headed over to the hay stacks and pumpkin fields, there were so many pumpkins. It was awesome. The kids loved playing on the hay stack. Luckily, we didn't have any allergy issues!

I love getting pictures of us with the pumpkins. And these were the little ones the kids could play on!

And the best part of all....

Aiden found Darth Vader!!

Orr Family Farms

Emma had her first Pre-K field trip yesterday. And of course it was cold and rainy. But, we still had fun. She was so excited that I got to go and that we were able to ride the bus. Oh, the joys of being 4!
Mrs. Sorey partnered all the kids up and our buddy was Mekca. He was super cute!!
Emma, Mecka, Eric, and Maggie waiting for the buses.
The bus ride-every time the bus hit a bump or we went around the corner the kids were yelling and laughing! It was so loud!!
All of Ralph Downs Pre-K kids.

Going on the hay ride to get the pumpkins. It was so muddy that they ended up just handing the pumpkins to us. Maggie, Emma, and Mecka

I loved all the cool pumpkins that they had laying around.

On the train ride. By now, it was super cold! I was really glad that I brought lots of extra clothes, we used them all.
Emma is no longer afraid of petty zoos. I don't know what happened but I am glad. She thought it was totally cool to pet the chicken.
Helping out during the most boring story time I have ever been too!!

Because of the boring 25 min story time!! We only got to play on the toys for like 5 min. I guess it was better then nothing.

I asked Emma what her favorite part was and she said the bus ride! What a funny girl!

Emma's Tea Party

Emma wanted to have a tea party with all her friends. So, we made up little invites, got all dressed up, had apple juice, cookies, and popcorn, all on Emma's little cups and bowls. The kids thought it was so fun! What a good idea Emma!

The Round Barn

We have been hearing about this "Big Round Barn", so over the weekend we went and checked it out. It was pretty cool. The kids had a great time running around and around and around. The only bummer part was it open from 10-5 and we got their at 5:30 :(
Here is our photo shoot from the trip:

Food Fun

I love this time of the year!!! Halloween is one of my very favorite holidays. I just love being able to dress us all up in matching attire!! I also love all the fun activities that go along with fall time. And chili...I love chili on a cold fall day.
Sunday was just that day. We made my mom's yummy Turkey Chili and then we made Halloween bread sticks. The kids loved cutting out all the different shapes.

A DayOut with Thomas

Thomas the Train came to town and the kids were sooo excited to see him. You could actually take a train ride for 15$ a person! So we opted for all the fun FREE activities that they had at the train station.
Jakey, Margie, Aiden, and Emma hanging out on the train tracks.
They had tons of trains for the kids to play on. I think the boys could have stayed there the whole time.

They had a couple of different bouncers for the kids to jump on.

Sir Topham Hatt, was there to meet the kids. The boys only wanted to look from a safe distance. But the girls weren't scared to go up and say hi.

It was a great fun day and I am so glad that we went. If he is coming to your area you should check it out!! (Thanks Jenn for the heads up about all the free stuff!)

Cleaning up the back yard

The past few weeks it has been very raining and my backyard was a mess. So yesterday we got out the big broom and hose and cleaned everything up. Emma was a good helper but as soon as it was done, she was done.

Aiden however, didn't think we were done. He decided that the house needed cleaned, the fence was dirty, and that the swing set needed a good washing as well...
And apparently his pants too, since they ended up being the wettest thing in our yard!!
