Red Rock Canyon

On Sunday I had decided that I didn't just want to sit around. Usually Spencer watches TV all day and I try to keep the kids busy even though all I want to do is sleep, so it usually isn't a very fun afternoon for us. So I wanted to DO something. When we got home from church I told Spencer to figure out something, and he did.
We loaded up dinner, the kids, and Roxy and headed to Red Rock Canyon. It is about 45 min from our house. It is cool cause you drive down this canyon and it makes it look like you are in the mountains.
The kids had a great time exploring and going on adventures.

We brought Roxy and just let her run lose. I think she had more fun then anyone. She did really good about coming back when she ventured to far. I have never seen her run that fast!

We even found a trail that went up the "mountain". Of course, Emma got hurt but she was a trooper and finished the hike.

The kids found some rock walls they could climb on while we got our fire started and dinner made.

One of their favorite things about camping is roasting the hot dogs and the marshmellows (luckily I had both).

Of course Aiden always wants to do it himself.

What a great day!

1st day of school

Emma had her first day of school yesterday(Aug 19). She was super nervous but she did really good. She really wanted a new Hannah Montana backpack for this year-so thanks to Grandma Mitchell, she has a cute one. I let her pick out what she wanted to wear-it took her a while to decided but I think she looked cute.


Her Teacher is Mrs. Foster and she seems super nice. Emma already loves her. When we picked her up she was so excited about everything she did. I was nervous on how lunch would work but Emma said she did a good job at getting all her food by herself. She only knows two kids in her class from last year so hopefully she is able to make new friends.

I know that Aiden totally wishes he was in school too! To bad we have a full two years before he can even start Pre-K. Lets hope I can keep him busy!

Our Trip to Idaho

We were able to go to Idaho for a couple of weeks this past month. It was a total blast. We were able to spend time with both my mom and Scott and my dad and Rakay plus Spencer's side of the family. We were go go go each day. By the end we were are so tired! I think my kids are still trying to catch up on their sleep.
The first day at my mom's the blue Angel's were preforming so we were able to sit out and watch from their front porch. It was pretty cool.

My sister and Italia were able to come over a lot so the kids had fun playing together.

My dad and Rakay happened to be in IF the same time so we were able to spend a few days with them and my step sister Destinee and her two cute girls.

One day we spent like 3 hours at the park. It is so nice to be somewhere that isn't super hot and humid!!

The girls had a great time playing in the water and making "collections" for everyone.

Aiden slept through most of it. :)

In the middle of our Idaho trip I met Spencer up in Washington to go and look at some practices. I didn't really take any pics because we mostly drove around. But one night in Spokane we drove to Cor'd lane (?) and ate the most amazing meal ever!

When we got back from WA we spent the rest of the week with Spencer's family. The kids always have a blast cause their are so many of them. And not everyone was there.

One day we went bowling:

Emma won out of the kids-she even beat some of us adults-she bowled a 98!

On Sat we headed down to Pocy to go to Ross park. It is always fun to go swimming.
