Merry Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas! Thank you to everyone for all the gifts. We loved everything! The kids couldn't decide what to play with first! This year Spencer and I got each other clothes and then a gift from the kids. The kids gave Spencer some new work glasses and an automatic wrench and they got me the new Willowtree Mary and Joseph, which I was soo excited about! It is awesome!
Can you say spoiled! Emma got so much stuff and she loved everything! She had so much fun opening the presents and then playing with them! She loves the dollhouse that Santa brought her. Every little princess she got now lives in the dollhouse.

Aiden had a great time also. Besides the fact that he pooped through two pairs of pjs and two outfits!Poor Kid. He loves, loves, loves, his trampoline that Santa brought him. He jumps on it all day, he can get pretty high too!

Here we are all are in our new Christmas clothes. Thanks again everyone for all the awesome presents! We love you guys!

Christmas Eve

It has become our tradition to have a big Mexican dinner on Christmas Eve for all those that are in town without any family around. This year it was us and the Martin's and we had a great time.
We made fajitas, lots of yummy dips, and Spencer fried us up some dessert. I ate so much!

After wards the kids got to open their Christmas PJs. Emma was so excited about her HSM pjs and her Gabriella doll. Aiden was excited about his new car. And I am sure he is glad to have pjs that fit him!At like 7:30 Emma told me that she was just so tired and that she needed to go to bed. Hopefully, it is that easy every Christmas Eve to get the kids to bed.

Christmas Sunday

I love Christmas Sunday almost as much as I love Christmas. I like to make Emma a Christmas dress to wear for the month of December. This year she loved it. She wore it every day around the house!
I love going to church on Christmas Sunday and seeing everyone in their Holiday clothes, listening to the amazing music, and thinking of Christ. It is one of the best Sundays.
This year I decided that we were going to make Santa's cookies on Sunday. I figured it was a better activity then watching football. However, the whole time making cookies Aiden kept running into the living room and yelling football (cause it was on in the background.) It is kinda sad that my 15 month old would rather watch football then make cookies. Oh,well!
Aiden cutting out some cookies.
Emma and Spencer decorating the cookies. We had a great time making them as pretty as we could!

The end result.

We then went and looked at the lights in Yukon. They have an awesome light display. And then of course we had to go see the "dancing lights". They are Emma's favorite (and Spencer's too!)

Downtown in December

Downtown had a tone of fun activities for the whole family during the month of December. So Friday night the Martin's and us decided to head down and check it out.
First we went out to eat at Earl's, it was way good! Then we walked over to the "river" for their boat rides. They are free on the weekends for the month of December.

Emma waiting in line for the boat ride. We had to wait about 20 min. Luckily it wasn't too cold out side.
This is Margie and Emma on the boat ride. They had a good time looking at all the lights. They really try to pack em in. So it was a little crowed. Good thing we are all friends!

Emma really wanted to go ice skating but by the time we were done with the boat ride everyone was cold and tired. Hopefully we can take her in the next couple of days.

Santa Claus is coming to town...

Last Friday we were able to go the the OPAT building and meet Santa. Emma was so excited. I even got Aiden to say "Ho, ho, ho" or at least try too! While we were waiting we were able to play some Christmas games, make a frame for the pictures, and read some Christmas stories.
When it was our turn to go I had Emma go first. I thought that if Aiden saw Emma do it then maybe he wouldn't be as scared.
Emma was so cute about it. She had brought her letter for Santa-which she had forgot to write one thing on there so she was planning on just telling Santa-so she walks up, hands it to him, sits on his lap, smiles for the camera, and then gets down. I asked if she wanted to tell him what she wanted but she just shook her head no. As we were walking out she said "mom, it is ok that I didn't tell Santa about the payer thing, I didn't really want it anyway!" I then explained to her that Santa watches us and so he knows what she wants. To cute!! Of course, I then had to go into great detail about how Santa can watch us all the time.
Then it was Aiden's turn. He didn't cry, which I was happy about, but he wasn't too sure of him either. The first few pictures he had the look like get me out of here! I was able to distract him with Santa's beard. So this is the best one. However, on the way home he kept on saying "ho, ho, ho" so I guess he kinda knew what was going on.

Emma's Christmas Dance Recital

Emma had her Christmas dance recital today. The kids wore their new Christmas PJ's and all the parents were able to come in and watch them dance. They were so cute! Emma was so excited to dance in front of everyone. They did group dances and then they each got to do a dance and do their leaps across the stage. I am totally impressed with how well all the girls did. Some have come a long way. It makes me so excited for her real recital in June!

We made Miss Chris, Emma's teacher, a sign for her front room. She was so excited! She totally loved it! Thanks Laurie!

The Great Gatsby

Friday night we went to the best Christmas party ever! It was the Great Gatsby/1920's themed party and it was fabulous! I spent the week making my costume and I thought it turned out pretty good. Spencer's was easy (of course) all we had to do was go and buy him a hat, he already had the sweater that went perfectly.

There were quite a few of the residence there and we had a great time eating, laughing, and dancing with them! But the dancing was my favorite part for sure. It has been a long time since Spencer and I went out and boogied. We had a total blast. It is nice to know I still got it :)

Bryan and Kristen, Ryan and Ashley, Jake, and Leslie, Shane and Whitney, and us.

The girls showing off our stuff.

The boys looking good.

Bryan and Spencer showing off their matching hats.

The gang eating all the yummy food. It was a buffet like meal and we totally helped ourselves! Hey, we are poor starving residents what do you expect!

Preschool Christmas Party

We had a great preschool party today. Becca was nice enough to host it this year. We made play dough cookies that the kids loved. They thought it was so cool that they could play with the dough and even eat it if they wanted to. The kids also made Christmas necklaces, and decorated Christmas pictures. All, while waiting for the grand finale, decorating the cookies. This was the best part for sure!

After all the cookie fun we had a little present exchange. Emma got a new sippy cup, Christmas pencils and notebook, jewelery, coloring book holder, and yummy bread.

Thanks moms for an awesome party and all the fun gifts.

Dear Santa...

Yesterday for FHE we had Emma write a letter to Santa. She has been wanting to write it forever. So she was very excited that the day had finally arrived. She wanted to do it all by herself, so I just told her what letters to write. But then she decided that instead of writing everything that she wanted she was going to draw a picture. That way Santa knows exactly what they are suppose to look like.
So she drew a picture of a doll house with lots of dolls, a watch, and a singing thing-this is new so I have already let her know that Santa's sleigh is too full and he might not be able to bring that. She responded with 'well, I guess he will just have to give it to me next year".She also wants a cash register (which she calls a payer thing) but she forgot to draw that. She remembered after we put it in the envelope but I told her that she could tell Santa when we see him on Friday. Luckily, she thought that would be ok.

She was so proud of herself when she was all done. And I was totally impressed with her drawing abilities. They really did look a lot like the real thing!

Happy Birthday Spencer!!!

Well, we have been parting all weekend at the Sautter household. Spencer turned the big 3-0 this weekend. We started out by going to his work party Friday night-Thanks Johnson's for watching our kids!
Then on Saturday Spencer went skeet shooting in the morning with some friends form church. Then that evening was his big party. I had invited some of Spencer's friends to meet us at BJ's for dinner. There were 20 of us in all. We had a great time laughing, eating, and waiting for ever for our food! After the big bash we went to the Johnson's for another party. This time it was a football party to watch the OU game on the other Spencer's new TV.Very nice by the way!
Then on Sunday, which was his real birthday. We had a nice meal, opened presents, and had cheesecake. Over all I think he had a really nice birthday.

The Eddleman's and the Martins.

The Olsen's and the Johnson's.

At BJ's you get a very yummy dessert for your birthday. It was so good we might have to go there for my birthday.

At home opening his birthday presents. His big present he got over the summer-it was a fancy new blower for our yard. But he also got a new remote (ours has been dead for awhile), Indian Jones movie, and the first three Star Wars. Emma was just as excited about Star Wars as he was. They have already watched the first one!

Happy birthday Spencer! We love you!

Buzzed...

I decided that Aiden's hair was getting to long in some spots. So we got out the buzzers and buzzed his hair. Don't worry, we didn't buzz it all off! I think it looks way cute.
He wasn't a huge fan of it but he didn't cry either!
