Typical Male!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my son is just like is father. He loves the remote! It is his favorite toy. He tries with all his might to get the remote when he sees it. I bet it will be the reason he starts crawling-so he can get it when it is across the room :)

Zoo Days

Today was such a beautiful day that we decided to go to the zoo with some friends. We were able to see the baby lions for the first time. They were so cute! Everyone had a great time just being outside in the nice warm weather, infact we didn't go see very many animals cause when we stopped for the lunch the kids had so much fun just running around that we stayed there for quite a while. But when the kids are happy the moms are happy.

These are Aiden's cute feet. He was getting hot so I took his socks off to play and he thought that was great. And I thought it was adorable. I love summer time!

My Ruby Red Slippers

I have been meaning to post this story for awhile... When we went home in Feb. Emma watched the Wizard of Oz with Grandma Mitchell and loved it. She talked about it all the time and decided she wanted to be the wicked witch for Halloween-which I was ok with cause she had wanted to be Goldie locks and the three bears :). Well, three of the girls from our YW were in the the high school play of the Wizard of Oz. So me and my friend Kim took our girls to go see it. Emma was mesmerized by it. And ever since then she has made me tell the story or sing the songs about a million times a day. She also decided she wanted to be Dorthy cause she got to met Dorthy afterwards. And the wicked witch kinda scared her in the play. I went to a consignment sale two weeks ago and found Ruby Red Slippers. They were two sizes to big but Emma was in heaven. So that day we HAD to go find Toto, a basket, and a leash. Good thing Walmart had them all. Needless to say I have to beg and plead Emma to take her Ruby Red Slippers off. And Toto-or toad or toady as Emma calls him for short-goes every where with us-church, school, store, camping, everywhere! And now we act out the Wizard of Oz all the time! Now she is so excited for Halloween cause she is going to be Dorthy, I will be the wicked witch, Spencer is the scarecrow, Aiden is the Lion, and she called Grandma Mitchell and told her she had to be the tin man. What a funny girl!

Easter Sunday

The girls woke up early Sunday morning so excited to see what the Easter bunny had brought them. The easter bunny got Emma the new Mariposa dolls and movie-it is a barbie thing. She carried them around with her all day and even had to sleep with them tonight! From the grandmas she got a new dress from Gma Dance, stuffed rabbit form Gma Sautter, and a bike helmet and pads form Gma Mitchell. Aiden got a new outfit from Gma Dance, a stuffed frog (that he loves) from Gma Sautter, and a leap frog table from Gma Mitchell. (It is to replace the one that Emma stuck her eggs in and then it rotted and stunk up the whole house!) She thinks it is hers and she even carried it to her room when we were cleaning up!

Everyone looked really nice in their new Easter dresses. They loved going on the Easter egg hunt. They found the eggs in record time!

Dying Easter Eggs

We all dyed Easter Eggs on Saturday. Emma thought it was fun dipping the eggs in the dye and then watching them turn colors. She wasn't happy when all the eggs ran out.We made one for Aiden he wasn't to sure what to think of it. I am just glad that he couldn't get a hold of it or it would have gone straight to his mouth like everything else!

Annual Camping Trip

For the last two years we have all gone camping over spring break so we decided to keep the tradition alive. We went to Lake Archadia which is up in Edmond-that way if we wanted to leave we were close to home. The camp site was really nice and right on the lake. The girls had a blast finding rocks and sticks to throw into the water. It made us moms a little nervous to have them that close to the cliff over looking the water. But nobody fell in so all is well. We roasted hot dogs for dinner and then when it got dark we made smores. Like usual, Emma just wanted to eat the marshmallow's but we make her make a smore and she liked it a lot. Aiden enjoyed being out side with everyone and watching the fire. The only bummer part was that it got sooo cold that we froze all night long. There was a few times I just wanted to pack up and leave! But we toughed it out. And I am glad that we did. It makes a great memory!

Brooklyn, Emma, Caijsa, Annicka, and Abbygail just hanging.

Me and Aiden just enjoying the view-he loved watching the girls.

Spencer trying to throw Emma in the lake. She thought it was pretty scary but wanted him to do it again and again!

This is were we spent most of the day-throwing rocks and sticks.

Spencer and Emma eating their first of many smores.

Sidewalk Chalk

This week was Spring break so Hyrum, Chalai, and girls all come up. Emma had a blast playing with everyone. Their favorite thing to do-besides pull out every toy Emma owns- was sidewalk chalk. They colored every thing they could reach: the ground, the rocks, the trees, the house, and even each other!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day! Hope everyone remembered to wear green! I was way excited for today(we are celebrating it a day later cause no one saw us yesterday in their cute outfits!) cause I love any excuse to dress my family in matching outfits. :)

Emma loved her leaf shirt as she called it. My favorite part was the cute bow that I made her. To bad you can't see it in the pics! She was excited to show off her new clothes at preschool. She is a total girl!

Aiden didn't really know what was going on but I thought he looked cute anyway!

He was so ready for a nap that I couldn't get him to smile. Maybe next time! He is starting to say "da da" and it makes us laugh when he looks right at Spencer and says it!

Here we are!

For those of you who don't know we are living in OK while Spencer is working on his residency to become a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He loves what he is doing even though it keeps him very busy.

The kids and I spend our day going on adventures and hanging out with friends. Emma is 2 almost 3 and Aiden is 6 months old already. We have a great time together. And now that it is starting to get nice we will be spending most of our time outside. Which we are all happy about-talk about cabin fever! And hopefully with the nice weather Aiden wont get anymore colds. I think we are on his fifth!

Here are a few pics so that you can see what we have been doing to pass the time during the cold and flu season.

Welcome friends and family!!

I have finally done it! I have started our family blog! What do you think? I am way excited to be able to share all our crazy stories with everyone. Our kids say the funniest things and I never remember what they said later on. Hopefully this blog will help me remember how funny my kids are and share those stories with you. So I hope you enjoy getting to know our family a little better.
