A Work in Progress
Emma has been asking for a Barbie house pretty much as soon as last Christmas was over. I told her that she would have to sell her dollhouse and then wait to see if Santa would bring her a new barbie house. She said that that was fine cause she doesn't like her dollhouse anymore. Which is true.
But Christmas is a long ways away and she was trying everything to see if she could use it as her barbie house. So we ended up taking everything out of her bookshelf that Spencer made to look like a dollhouse, to use for her barbie house. We had a long chat about if she wanted this as her barbie house of if Santa needed to bring her a new one. After thinking about it she decided that she wanted her bookshelf to be her new barbie house.
First she decided what each room would be and what color. Then we drew in some windows and other decorations on the wall.
The last couple of days we have been working hard on painting the rooms during Aiden's nap. Emma takes it very seriously. I have to go to the store and get some more paint so we can finish. I think it is going to look so awesome. It was been so much fun working on it with Emma.
Now I will have to think of something else for Santa to get her for Christmas. Maybe a new bed that she fits in and isn't broke :)

Easter Sunday
This morning the kids were so excited to walk and and see what the Easter bunny had brought them. I love any reason to buy my kids things so as usual my kids were spoiled. But they loved everything so I don't mind!
Aiden got a new car mat, a hammer thing(that was suppose to be from Christmas but it was just found under the futon the other day), church clothes, cars from G&G Mitchell, and an outfit from G&G Sautter.

Emma had a High School Musical themed basket. She got HSM shirt, underwear, HSM 1-3, and singing pens form G&G Mitchell (the pens were the highlight of the day), church clothes, and a new outfit from G&G Sautter

We then all got into our new Easter outfits and attempted to take pictures. Aiden would only take a picture if the self timer took the picture. So sadly this is the best I got of the two of them.
Emma however, loves to pose so I have a million of her. But since I have already posted a ton of pictures here is my favorite.
Here we are attempting the family pictures. To bad Spencer didn't realize his tie was off for most of them! He was so worried about getting Aiden's tie right he forgot all about his!

Hunting for Easter Eggs
On Saturday morning we got up and headed for the big Easter Egg Hunt. I thought the weather was suppose to be pretty nice so I had us dressed for summer. To bad it was very cold for the first hour or so. Luckily, I had their jackets in the car so we wrapped them around their legs to help keep them warm. We did a lot of waiting along with thousands of others but it ended up being a lot of fun.
Joby and Emma waiting in the stroller. Thanks to Kaylee for being the other parent. Spencer was taking his OMSAT test so he wasn't there. Kaylee was nice enough to help me out. It defiantly made my day a lot easier.

Me and Aiden waiting in line. He wasn't to happy of a camper. I am pretty sure he was freezing! Sorry buddy!

They had lots of fun activities for the kids to do. The first thing we went to was the train ride. We also did a couple of games where you had to throw things(football, basketball, rubber ducks) into different holes. Aiden loved those games and did really well.

It was finally time to go and get the eggs. There were soooo many eggs, I couldn't believe it. This is just for the 3-5 year olds.

After they got us all lined up we had to wait for awhile before they said to go. Aiden kept on leaning over the rope and swiping some eggs.
Emma got so many eggs. She had her basket full in no time flat. So we dumped them into my backpack and she went out for more. We didn't get the prize egg, maybe next year.

Aiden did ok but there were a ton of people so he didn't like me letting go of his hand.

When it was all over the kids wanted to sit down and eat some well deserved candy. Aiden's new favorite-tootsie rolls.

I am pretty sure we will do it again next year. And since I will be better prepared and dress my kids warmer, I think it will be even more fun.
Also, that night was date night at our house. Since we had soo many eggs I thought we should share the wealth. So we had the kids go on a Easter Egg Hunt in our back yard. They sure were funny about it!

Easter Eggs
Tonight we dyed Easter eggs for the Easter bunny to hide on Sunday. The kids loved coloring on the eggs before we dyed them. Aiden got a little excited and ended up cracking a couple of them, so we had eggs for our bed time snack.
Emma got all excited when we took the eggs out of the dye because it makes the crayons that you colored on the eggs look really cool.

We had a near disaster when Aiden tried to look in the cup to see the egg. Luckily Spencer has fast surgeon hands and was able to catch the cup before it landed all over Aiden. :)

Emma and her princess egg. Very fancy!

We are all very excited for all the up coming events. Saturday we are going to some random church's huge Easter egg hunt. When I say huge I mean huge, they have 100,000 eggs that the kids get to go and find(ok, maybe not that many but you get the idea). Then on Sunday we have church in our new Sunday outfits and then dinner and an Easter egg hunt in the back yard-anyone care to join us?

Twilight
On Friday night Jenn threw the best Twilight party. It was amazing! She had her house all decorated in red, black, and white with apples and pictures of Twilight everywhere. She made us all a fabulous dinner and had marked our spot with the cutest name holders. We played some trivia games about the book and then watched the movie. It was such a great night. I think we are going to keep the tradition alive and have a theme party every month.
