ROXY

Sorry about the lack of posts. I was hoping to have a finished bathroom to post about but it isn't done yet :( Our goal was to have it done, start to finish, on Saturday. But due to unforeseen plumbing problems, it didn't happen. And of course, Spencer is working crazy hours right now, so it is still not done. But I don't think we have anything on Friday so cross your fingers that it gets done!
But since I don't have bathroom pictures to show off I thought I would show off our dog. She is getting so big- she now weighs 4.5 pounds! She is doing pretty good with the "potty" training and is awesome about her crate. Yeah!
This is how Roxy helped out with the bathroom redo. She likes to be where ever we are.

She is a total girl... loves to look at herself in the mirror :)

So cute!

So Emma's teacher asked me if I could help her cut out some apples for a project they will be doing next week. Of course, I gladly say yes...and 504 apples later, my fingers are about to fall off! It better be a way awesome project!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I had set out the kids presents before they woke up. They were so excited to open them.
Aiden got Knights-it is his new favorite thing- from Grandma Mitchell.

He couldn't believe that all 3 presents were for him.

Emma and her new project-that is her favorite thing to do, projects-from Grandma Mitchell.

Spencer and the kids got me new pants-we went shopping during date night- and a day at the spa. Spencer has gotten that for me almost every year and I totally look forward to it each and every year. It is so nice to get pampered sometimes.

80' s Prom!!!

A couple of weeks ago we received an invitation to an 80's Prom with the OMS Residence. And you know how much I love to dress up, so the search was on for the perfect 80's prom attire. And we found it! And everything only cost 13$ at the Goodwill!
With all the excitement of the party, Emma has become obsessed with the 80's-even though she has no idea what it is, just that they wear funky clothes. Here we are with Emma in our 80's clothes (this is her new skirt for her Hannah Montana bday, in June:)).

Just gotta love the pants. They were a hit at the party!!
Shane and Whitney hosted the party and they did an amazing job! They had set up a fun little prom photo spot, we took a ton of pictures. Here are just a few!

They had 80's music playing and we had a great time rocking out. Then they busted out the Karaoke machine. So much fun!!!

Singing "Girls just want to have fun"
Spencer and Ryan singing their hearts out.

Did I mention that it was also a costume contest? And did I mention that I won!! I was sooooo excited! Receiving the grand prize! Yeah me!!

New bed

So I have been looking for a bed for Emma and Aiden. I have changed my mind a million times trying to decide on what kind of bed to get them. We finally decided on a trundle, so then the search began. I have been a craigslist addict this week trying to find a bed I liked that looked nice, came with mattresses, and was in our budget, not an easy task.
Friday afternoon I finally found one! So we loaded up the kids, drove to the far end of Norman, and bought a new bed for the kids. They were both super excited!
Out with the old...

In with the new...
I plan on adding some cute pillows to make it a little more girly for Emma. But she totally loves it! Aiden has done really well sleeping on a big boy bed. Each morning he was come running in saying "I wake up all by myself" . He even did good at nap time. Yeah! Let's hope it stays that way.

And to my crafty friends, how do I cover these lovely brass knobs?

V-Day Party

Emma preschool Valentine's Day Party was today. She was so excited when she woke up and remembered it was her party! And she was even more excited that she wasn't sick this time-she missed her Christmas party because she got sick at school. I had set out a couple little vday presents for them this morning-new shirts from Grandma Mitchell, and a new stuffed animal. Which has gone with us everywhere today :) Just to add to the excitement of today! (I actually think I am going to set out the vday presents from Grandma Sautter tomorrow and then the rest on Sunday. That way it is a whole weekend of excitement!)

Here is a group shot of Emma's class:

I was in charge of craft time. So I had them make heart shaped frames with heart stickers on them. I actually didn't send them home with them because I am going to print out wallet sized prints of the group picture and put on them and then send them home on Monday. Then they made candy necklaces. Which took them a lot longer then I thought it would. But they all did a good job with it.

Then another mom was in charge of the game. She had found a really cute game that they had to pick a heart out of the basket, some had letters on it and other stickers. If they choose one with a letter they had to go to the front of the room and try to figure out how to spell "heart".
Listening to the instructions:

Spelling the word "heart"

I ended up bringing Aiden with me. He was so good, I forgot he was there! He just found a little corner, got out one toy, and played with it the whole time. I only saw him twice, when he was poopy :), and when it was snack time.

Then they were able to open their bag that was filled with Vday cards from everyone in their class.

Emma was so excited with each one that she pulled out!

She was so cute and shared with Aiden. If it was a boy one, he got it, and he was so excited.

It was so fun to be there and see Emma with all her classmates. I think it turned out really well and everyone had a good time.

7 Years and Counting!!

Sunday was mine and Spencer's 7th anniversary! Pretty crazy huh! It has been a great 7 years with lots of fun adventures! We decided to celebrate on Friday night. I had Bailey come over to babysit-she is Emma's dance teacher helper and the kids love her!- we got all dressed up, and headed out. We went to a new restaurant-well, new to us- called Cheevers, it is this little restaurant in the art district and apparently it is pretty popular cause they had no tables until after 8:30. Luckily, there was two open spots at the bar, so we took them. I am never eaten dinner at a bar before :) But it was pretty fun watching the bar tender make all the drinks. The food was really good and it is always fun to try a new place. We then went to the movies. Spencer was so nice to let me pick, so we went to "Dear John" I loved it, Spencer tolerated it! Then on our way home, we got some ice cream. It was a very nice anniversary weekend.
