What a week!

Last week the boys both got the flu. What a bummer! Luckily for me they were both really good sports about it.
Mason pretty much just slept for a few days...
Aiden was himself for the most part, there was just one day that he didn't get off the couch.

So far Emma hasn't got it. Thank goodness, she doesn't handle being sick very good.
On Sat she decided that she wanted her ears pierced that day. We had talked about being her birthday present, so I told her that if she wanted them pierced right now she had to pay for them herself. She went and got her piggy bank-she is saving up all of our change for Disneyworld-and we counted out $20. So we headed to the mall...
At Claire's holding Claire Bear:
She was super nervous but she did so good! She didn't even cry-even though I am pretty sure she wanted to!
Now she can't wait to get new earrings to wear!

Hotel Fun

Over the weekend we rented a hotel for our anniversary/valentines. We wanted to bring the kids along for a little mini vacation. And it was a total blast. They were so excited about everything in the room. But the best part was swimming-we went 3 different times plus let them swim in our "big" bathtub twice. It was a great way to get away without really going anywhere.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Valentine's Day Party

On Friday Emma had her Valentine's Day Party. She wanted to dress up for it so wore the dress that Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell got her from Mexico-she looked very cute.
During the day they decorated their bags to hold all their goodies in and then they "mailed" their valentines to each other. For the party they played a stacking game, which was way fun. They each had their own box of conversation hearts and then we timed them to see who could stack up the most in one minute. Emma won the first round but after that they kept on falling over-she wasn't very happy about that.

Then they decorated cookies and made a crown hat out of a paper plate-super cute and cheep idea!
Aiden got to come along and he had a great time!

Super Bowl

We had a really fun super bowl at our house. We had the Martin's over to eat, play, and watch. The food was yummy, the game was good, and the kids didn't bug us :)
I thought it would be fun to do a little photo shoot of the kids in their football outfits. Trying to get three kids to look at you is a joke! But it was fun!

Sledding

On Friday we borrowed a couple of sleds from a friend and Spencer took Emma and Aiden sledding. It was still pretty cold and windy so Mason and me stayed home-I was bummed. But I figured they wouldn't last too long. Two hours later, then finally came home. Spencer said they would have stayed longer but he was done :)
Then on Saturday it was warmer so we headed out again. This time I came, we just had Mason sleep in the car. One thing about Oklahoma is that when it warms up the snow melts super fast. So the hill didn't have lot of snow, but it was till a blast.

I am pretty sure Emma is going to be a ski bum-she never stopped and didn't want to leave.

Thumb Sucker

Mason has found his thumb!

Let it Snow!!

As some of you already know we got a pretty big snowstorm yesterday. It is the second biggest snowfall in OK history-topped only by the one last year that we got stuck in for 3 hours. The kids loved it! They were so excited to go play that we headed out right after breakfast. It was still snowing and blowing and freezing but that didn't stop them! Aiden didn't last very long but Emma stayed out until we were both totally freezing!

We don't really have "snow" clothes so we make due with what we have. :)
The best part is that Spencer has had the last two days off! Snow days are lot funner with Dad around!
Spencer went out on the next outing. They were a little more bundled, it was a little warmer, so they lasted a little longer. This time they built a snow cave.

Emma really wants to build a snowman but so far the snow isn't wet enough to stick together. Maybe tomorrow!
