Dress ups
A while ago I had said that Emma got a whole huge box of dress ups for her birthday. I have tried to get pictures of her in different costumes so that grandma can see her gift in action. So here they are:

Our weekend in Texas
This past weekend we went and stayed with Hyrum, Chalai, and girls. It has been forever since we have been able to go to their house and Emma has been asking to go for a long time. Spencer finally had a whole weekend off so we hit the road.
It was Caijsa's bday party on Friday night and then Saturday we played in the park before it got to hot. That afternoon we went to the Dallas Natural History Museum. It was awesome. They have a whole floor just for the kids. We spent most of our time there. Emma had a great time exploring all the different areas. They even had a few things that Aiden wanted to do. But his favorite was the slide.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Thanks Benson's for the fun time!

Caijsa and Emma at the park. Emma was Caijsa little shadow the whole weekend.
At the Museum. We have the same statue at our museum!
Caijsa, Emma, and Annicka pretending to be scared of the dinosaurs.

Annicka, Emma, and Aiden diggin' up fossils. Aiden had a great time playing in the sand. He loves to throw it up, to bad it usually lands on his head!

The museum had lots of fun interactive areas for the kids to learn hands on. Aiden liked to spin the wheel really fast. The huge bubbles where a big hit as well. Emma could never get one to go very big.
Emma loved driving the fire truck in the kids area. They also had a little farm area where Emma learned how to milk a cow! Very funny!!
This picture is on Sunday right before we were going to leave to go home. Hyrum had made us some Orange Julius and Aiden liked his a little to much. He couldn't get it fast enough with the straw so he went straight to the cup. Yummy! It reminds me of the got milk commercial.

Car Seat
Last weekend I went garage selling and found a great find. A booster seat/car seat for Emma. We were needing to get one because Aiden is getting to big for his car seat so I was way excited to find one at a garage sale and for only 5$!! It was in pretty good condition but you could tell the fabric was getting a little warn in some spots. So I decided to make a cover for the cover. I let Emma pick out what pieces of material she wanted. Here is the before:

Memories...
So my friend Emily stole this idea from someone and I am stealing it from her. I thought it was so fun and I am excited to read all the fun stories :)So you guys better do it!
Do you remember when?
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable.
2. Next, post these instructions on your blog and see how many people have a fun memory of you. It's pretty fun to see the responses.
3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. :)

Dentist
Today Emma went to the dentist for the first time! She did so awesome. She left the girl brush and floss her teeth. Then they went over and took x-rays. Emma sat very still and all of the x-rays turned out great. Then they did a fluoride treatment on her. She said it was very spicy to her teeth.Lastly the dentist came and checked out her teeth.
The dentist said her tooth looked so good. She had no cavities. Yeah! They gave her a dollar and a balloon for doing so good. She was so excited and I was so proud!
Swimming Lessons
We signed Emma up for swimming lessons this summer at the Ripper Pool. She was so excited to go but when it came time to go, she cried the whole way over to the pool. I was really worried that she wouldn't get in.Luckily she had a really nice teacher that helped her get in. The biggest problem was that she kept on getting cold. I tried to tell her to stay in the water but she didn't listen,
Emma's class: Savannah and Larissa and her teacher Miss Anna
The first day she would just cling to Anna in the pool, but each day she did a little bit better on trying it by herself.
At the end of each class they jump to Miss Anna. It took Emma most of the two weeks to decided that she would jump.Even then it was kind of a sissy jump!
These are pictures of the last day. She had so much fun today. Miss Anna had them swim with a noodle so that they could practice their strokes by themselves. Everyday Emma would come home and practice her strokes around the house: "close, out, around, and back" "chicken, airplane, soldier" She was laughing the whole time in the pool today. I think she was so excited to be swimming by herself.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!
Yesterday we were able to go to the zoo in the afternoon. It was such a nice day, not to hot only about 95 :) It seems like every time we go there, there is one thing that is the highlight and we spend most of our time there. This time it was the bears. We have both grizzle bears and black bears. The black bears came to our zoo as babies that had been found in the wild with no mom. They were so sad looking. It has been fun to watch them grow over the last year or so. They are huge now and their fur is beautiful where as before it was so patchy. We spent most of our time watching the bears since they were right at the window. At fist Emma didn't want to sit by them but once she realized they couldn't get her she kept wanting her picture taken by them.

Sorry the picture is not the best. The sun was shinning just right to make it glare on my camera. This was the best one.
Aiden slept through most of the zoo. But he did wake up for the play ground. He had a great time playing in the bark. He was even really good about not putting it in his mouth.
